Who's Who in Irad 2026–27
Our yearly biographical dictionary of notable Iradis. Thirty-first edition, revised to 1 October 2026.
Every year since 1995, with the single exception of 2007, the Herald has published Who's Who in Irad: short, plain entries on the men and women whose work or office makes them of public interest, in government, the Mejlis and the courts, business and the unions, the churches and the mosques, the clans, the arts and sport. Inclusion is decided by the editors alone; it cannot be bought and it implies neither praise nor blame.
This edition has 163 biographies with 51 portraits, and a Historical Section of 30 Iradis whose deaths have been recorded, from the founders of 1992 to the painters, writers and film-makers of the last century.

The printed book (6 × 9 inches, cloth) costs 450 som at the Herald's front office, or by post. Legal deposit LD 2026/214. Irad has no ISBN agency: please quote the LD number and the title when ordering.
Corrections and new entries: biographees who wish to correct or extend an entry should write to the editors at the Herald; a questionnaire will be sent in June for the next edition.
