Corrections and clarifications

A report on the Talas autumn sale (5 September) gave the Akyel Syndicate's catalogue fee as 150 som. It is 150 US dollars.
A photo caption on the Feast of St. Janyl pilgrimage (20 August) placed the riders on the Fergana Gateway. They were on the 12-kilometre branch road above Tash-Kömür.
An article about Nurzhan's heating tender (1 July) said the council approved the contract by 19 votes to 6. The vote was 18 to 7.
Our report on the First League (12 May) said Deportivo Semiz joined the league in 2019. The club has played in the First League since 2018.
An obituary (26 February) misspelled the name of the village of Arsha-Say.
Court-ordered correction, 2015
In 2015 the Talas District Court, ruling on a libel claim brought by the Talas Commercial Development Group over our 2013 reports on land transfers on the central avenue, upheld one point of the claim, dismissed the rest, ordered a correction and awarded damages of 200,000 som. As ordered, the Herald published the correction in print and online, and the corrected reports are marked in our archive.
